SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MICRODERMABRASION
What does microdermabrasion do?
Microdermabrasion gently removes dead skin cells from the skin revealing younger, fresher looking skin while at the same time unclogging pores and stimulating new cell growth.
How long does a treatment take?
Microdermabrasion can take as little as half an hour depending on the skin condition and the area being treated.
Is Microdermabrasion painful?
No, it is not painful. Your trained therapist will ensure that you do not experience any discomfort when having a treatment
How will my skin look immediately after treatment?
Your skin will look and feel amazing. The texture will be instantly smoother. Your pores will be clean. Blackheads removed. Overall your skin will look very clean and smooth.
It may be slightly flushed and feel warm after the stimulation from the microdermabrasion. This flushing, called erythema, (increased blood flow) brings in more nutrients, vitamins and especially oxygen which helps repair the skin and stimulate collagen. It is ideal to finish the treatment with an application of mineral makeup-this helps to reduce any redness, heal and protect the skin from the sun’s rays with its natural SPF.
How many treatment s will I require?
Your skin will feel smoother and cleaner after just one treatment. To experience maximum results a course of six treatments at two weekly intervals is usually recommended. Your therapist will discuss with you the number of treatments recommended for your particular skin type. |
